Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros, and the traditional ballads of ranchero and romance. Ana is a fan of tangos as well as operas and other dramatic forms. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother and commenced more serious vocal instruction when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Her love and passion for performing, painting, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have being able to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others while she hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
